Meet the Founder
Brent Jackson
Founder & CEO

Born in the Motor City, Built for the Road
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan—The Motor City, The D, The City of Boom—grit and hard work run in my DNA. Like many, I tried different paths early on, but after chasing "get-rich-quick" schemes that left me empty-handed, I knew I needed a real, honest hustle. The turning point came when my cousin, an owner of his own trucking company, gave it to me straight: “Get your CDL, and I’ll help you get in position to get your own truck.” I said, "Say less," and hit the ground running.
The Hustle Behind the License
Getting into the industry wasn't easy. CDL classes were expensive, and I couldn't afford to stop providing for my household. I took the hard route: entering a part-time training program with XPO Logistics while working the docks. My daily routine was an exhaustive 13- to 14-hour grind—spending 4 hours in training and 8 hours loading and unloading trailers.
The sacrifice paid off. I passed every written and over-the-road test on my very first try, earning the Top Gun Award for outstanding performance. I hit the highways pulling double hazmat trailers, earning active endorsements for doubles, triples, hazmat, and tankers on my CDL Class A license.
Why Truckers-vs-Everybody Was Born
After years on the road driving for family, I began noticing the harsh realities owner-operators face every day:
-
Hostile Driving Environments: Billboard lawyers urging people to sue truckers, combined with reckless drivers actively putting themselves in harm's way for a payout.
-
Economic Hurdles: Skyrocketing insurance rates, massive down payments, surging fuel prices, and lower pay rates for owner-operators.
-
Industry Barriers: Brokers locking out new authorities, ignoring years of clean driving experience behind the wheel.
One day, while wearing a hoodie from Detroit’s own Detroit-vs-Everybody—a brand created by Detroit genius Tommey Walker that I’ve proudly repped for years—it hit me. If any group needed that same unified, uncompromising battle cry, it was truck drivers. I searched the web and the USPTO office, and when I saw the space was wide open, Truckers-vs-Everybody (T-VS-E) was born.
